Behavior Support Plan (BSP)
The BSP is used when a plan is needed to address a behavior that is interfering with a student’s learning or the learning of peers. The plan focuses on teaching replacement behavior(s) that meets the student's need in a more acceptable manner.

Functional Behavioral Assessment (FBA)
In order to determine why a student is engaging in problematic behavior that interferes with learning, an assessment is conducted. The results of that assessment are reported on this SELPA form. The results of a functional assessment form the basis of a BSP.

For Behavior Intervention Case Managers (BICM) Use Only
A BICM is a staff member or qualified personnel who has documented training in behavior analysis with an emphasis on positive behavioral interventions.
Functional Analysis of Assessment (FAA): A student with a current IEP who exhibits a serious behavior problem, defined under California's Hughes Bill, prompts this analysis of behavior. The results of this legally defined assessment are reported on this form and are the basis for a Positive Behavior Intervention Plan (PBIP).
